How to Create Coastal Living Room

I love the beach and coastal style. There is something so calming about being near the water. Whether your house is located at the beach or you live inland, a coastal style is a great way to decorate. My favourite part of coastal style is the calm, neutral colour palette and cozy vibes. When I think of coastal decor, I think of creams, beiges and blues. They pair so nicely and create a relaxed, easygoing aesthetic that is inviting, yet elegant. Design Board One

My focus for this design was to create something light and open to bring the coast indoors. In the design you will find a light blue sofa which is available in many shapes and sizes from Marks and Spencers, the sofa is the House Plain, Blue selection. I choose to style the sofa with blue and cream striped tassel cushions as I find those colours remind of the beach. This blue colour pairs nicely with the cream accent chair, blue & beige rug and the round coffee table.
